Thierry Escaich composer & organist

The internationally acclaimed composer, organist and improviser Thierry Escaich has enjoyed patronage from many of the world’s major orchestras. He has recently returned from New York where he completed a commission for the New York Ballet. Whilst there, he also completed the first of this festival’s commissioned songs to be given their world première by John Mark Ainsley tenor and Roger Vignoles piano, in the Mourant Ozannes Hugo Recital at St James Concert Hall on Thursday 23 September at 8.00pm.

Thierry Escaich will also perform an organ recital at the Town Church, Guernsey on Thursday 23 September at 1.00pm in which he will improvise on two given themes handed to him at the appropriate moment in a sealed envelope.
