Marking the 40th anniversary of the Coull Quartet and their first visit to the Channel Islands, the Quartet will again tour all four islands. Formed in 1974 the quartet first performed at the town Church in the 1974/75 season and for several years afterwards. Roger Coull is the guest leader of the Guernsey Symphony Orchestra and has had considerable influence on the quality of orchestral and particularly string playing in the island. The Coull Quartet was honoured by the Bailiff of Guernsey Sir Geoffrey Rowland with a reception in the Bailiff's Chambers acknowledging their contribution to the musical life of Guernsey over several decades.
